Spiritual Warrior Training Camp at the Quest Center dome in Asheville was attended by 17 brothers. 5 facilitators and 12 trainees.
2 weeks ahead of the program, the call was :"Only 5 people, maybe we have to cancel... but I felt that something drew me there...I said "I will come anyways, no matter who will attend" Trust in the program...Determination to succeed...The very tenets conveyed in the program were put to the test. Most of all we got blessed by an Inipi ceremony also commonly called sweat-lodge. We felt the ancient warrior-spirit come through on the mountaintop. The silent message was revealed to us in the number 8 as it was the number we turned out to be in the last round of the sweat-lodge. It is the number of the spider that has eight legs and weaves a net. So we felt that this event was connecting so many brothers of different backgrounds together. The number eight, also is a symbol for infinity.
That very same number came up in the Quest Center PA event held 2 weeks later. At the last minute, we came to know that one brother cancelled. Then after the introduction, unexpectedly a friend of one of the participants appeared, just as if out of thin air and completed the eighth trainee we needed to make the two teams even.
Cosmic providence showed its hand in both events through the building of the ropes challenge that only the builder knows to explain fully...
