Susquehanna bike tour completed successfully ! We started off with 9 riders and completed it with 4. Thanks to all that joined in this physically challenging, educational and fun event. Even those who did only part of the tour, we thank you for your participation and knowledge about the area. Thanks to Roger for bringing us at close range to the pillars of the Starrucca aqueduct and making us appreciate its wonder. Thanks to Walt for bringing the only female rider safely back home from Thompson. Thanks to Ray for not giving up until your physical body couldn't do it anymore. Ed from Susquehanna had to leave after the first day and actually completed 74 miles in one day as he BIKED back to Hallstead from Oakley near Hop Bottom.
After 61 miles the first day, we figured not to bike anymore, but we got recharged so good, that the 42 remaining miles seemed like a piece of cake... Statistics : 1st day: 61 miles, 9.2 average from 8:15 A.M. till 7:00 P.M. 2nd day: 42 miles, 9.1 average from 8:27 A.M. till 4:37 P.M.
From left to right Ray, Steve, Roger, Scott, Rodney, Ed, Walt and Jan.
