Spiritual Warrior Training Oct. 27-29 2000

It was truly one of the best trainings I have had the opportunity to give thanks to the cooperation of Owen, Dada Rama and Harendra.

On the morning of the obstacle course, the sky was grey and a brisk wind was blowing; truly warrior-like...We replayed an old historical scenario of 200 years ago, when the Susquehanna valley was uncharted territory and a battleground of various groups against the indigenous people of this continent...

The challenge involved map-reading, hide-and seek tactics, as well as practical intelligence with ropes. Above all, team-work and leadership were being tested on a 6 mile course through forest-paths, mountains and farms.

Thanks to all, and a happy new year 2001 !

Climbing inside the arches of a gigantic railroad bridge :

"The most challenging was walking through the bridge. At first I was very afraid. Then I decided to just do it. It turned out to be much easier than I had thought." Abe

"Fearless" meditation:

" I learned to just throw myself into my fears and quiet my mind. Also sometimes pain is good. If its truthful we should feel it. It helps us to sympathise with the ways of the world."

"The biggest challenge and what I learned most is that physical challenges can be overcome with effort. I do not need to prove I can do something just to prove anything. The bigger or real challenges are mental. I look at things a certain way and it limits my potential for positive outcome. I think if it was easier for me to look at things in new ways, I would have done better. I truly enjoyed the program."
